What is Design for All?

The image shows two circles. Both circles have a wavy line running horizontally through their diameter, effectively dividing each circle into two hemispheres. The left hand circle has the upper hemisphere labelled 'Design for All', while the lower hemisphere is labelled 'assistive technology', signifying that these are two parts of a whole. The right hand circle also has the lower hemisphere labelled 'Assistive Technology' while the upper hemisphere is labelled 'Usability and Accessibility' and the label 'Design for All' is outside the circle, signifying that it applies to the whole of the content of the circle, i.e. 'Usability' and 'Accessibility' as well as Assistive Technology.
